It’s so nice to meet you! My name is Alice, and I am the sole stylist and owner of Wildwood Salon.
My career as a hair stylist is deeply rooted in my dance and theater experience.
It was through the performing arts that I first experienced the transformative powers of great hair and makeup.
What I found outside of the performing arts though, was that the world of hair and beauty could be intimidating and rigid. Almost like hair and makeup was only for a special few, and it was a club that the rest of us would never be in.
I make it my personal mission to de-mystify all of that, and to create an approachable, supportive in-salon experience for all of my guests.
When we visit, you will find that our consultation is warm and uplifting. I believe there is a special character within each of us, and we are most beautiful and happy when we are authentic to that part of ourselves.
Fads come and go, but authenticity is personal style for LIFE. You are the main character- you make the rules!
My experiences as a performer were not only my gateway to cosmetology, but they led me to other types of production work in the form of weddings.
Some of my favorite moments behind the chair have been working “behind the scenes” as a wedding stylist. It’s one of the many reasons I love to work weddings- it’s just like being back stage!
When I’m not behind the chair, I am usually up to my elbows in some kind of creative project. I love cooking and crafting. I love listening to all kinds of music and podcasts. I love to garden, and I love to spend time in nature. And let’s talk books when you visit! I love to know what everyone is reading, and I’m always taking recommendations!
And of course, I love to dance. I am a belly dancer, and travel New York and New England for all types of shows, events, and workshops. I also run a small dance school in my community, teaching recreational dance to children.
My husband and I share our home with a cat and three rescue dogs. I love animals, and work hard so I can give mine a bougie lifestyle.
